The Divemaster course is designed to make you a master of the sea–and a true diving professional! Making diving your lifestyle in the beautiful island of Utila.
Prerequisites: Advanced Open Water, Rescue, EFR and 40 logged dives.
Becoming a ‘master’ isn’t something that spontaneously happens–it takes training and commitment. This multi-week course (we personally recommend 6 weeks+) will teach you everything you need to know to work in a dive shop and begin a career as a professional diver. For candidates who do well in the course we have placements available at Parrots– space permitting. We only employ Divemasters who graduated from our program.

Specialties when becoming a Divemaster in Utila
While diving specialties cost $250 a piece, we include up to 3 specialties in our training; you can choose your favorite specialty between a long list….Nitrox, deep, wreck, underwater digital photography, you name it!
Not included in our Divemaster course package price: 3 additional costs 1) DAN Insurance 2) $25 medical 3) $135 PADI fees payable directly to PADI upon completion of your Divemaster course.
