Not only is it a critical course and set of skills–it also happens to be our Instructor’s fav course to teach. Despite being serious subject matter we inject tons of fun into it by performing in-the-water practice rescues, along with plenty of entertainment.

The course has two sections, theory and practice:

Theory:

The RESCUE manual includes:

• 5 chapters
• 5 videos
• 5 knowledge reviews
• 1 final exam

You will go over five theory sessions with your PADI Instructors, where you will review all the components of each chapter, in detail.

Practice:

They say practice makes perfect, and it truly does, which is why we include LOTS of it–including:

• SELF RESCUE After all how can you help others if you can’t help yourself!
• Vertigo
• Disorientation
• Free flowing regulator
• Self inflating BCD
• Leaky mask
• Cramps
• Out-of-air scenarios
• Navigational errors

All these situations will be reviewed to build up confidence and performance, and then, we can start…

• Tired diver
• Panicked diver
• Response from shore
• Distressed diver underwater
• Missing diver
• Surfacing the unresponsive diver
• Unconscious diver at the surface
• Exiting the unresponsive diver
• First aid for pressure related injuries and Oxygen administration
• Response from shore and boat, unresponsive diver

Let the fun begin, as a normal diving trip unfolds into an unexpected rescue scene!

We also have two final scenarios, your final evaluations.

These will be performed at the actual reef, no simulations, with real divers!
